SPOKANE, Wash. (Dec. 2, 2008)-Star USA announced today that local support for the 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships has been outstanding. Two companies, each with a long history and strong presence in Spokane and Washington State have committed to become "Supporting Sponsors" of the 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Chelan Fresh Marketing and Witherspoon, Kelley, Davenport and Toole, have signed supporting sponsorship agreements to help Spokane better its previous record by producing a new attendance record for a U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
To promote the healthy lifestyle of the world class athletes that will compete during the U.S. Championships Chelan Fresh Marketing will provide fresh fruit to the athletes and official delegation during the Championships. They will also provide free samples of fresh fruit at FanFest.

The competition will take place at the Spokane Arena. A total of 12 "National Champions" in ladies and men's singles, pairs and ice dancing in the championship, junior and novice divisions will be crowned. The 2010 U.S. Championships will attract approximately 1,500 figure skating athletes, coaches and officials. The 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships are the final event before the selection of the figure skating team that will compete for the United States 18 days later in Vancouver. The 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships will be organized by Star USA, the same company that organized the 2007 State Farm U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The awarding of the 2010 Championships to Spokane is historic. It represents the first time in over 50 years that the same community has been awarded the event twice within the same four year Olympic cycle.
