1. How long is the event?

The Championships are 10 days.  With the 2010 Winter Olympic Games beginning in Vancouver, B.C., just 18 days after the 2010 U.S. Championships conclude, the event schedule has been adjusted to provide approximately a four-week training period from the end of each Championship-level event to the start of the same event within the Olympic schedule.  Therefore, all of the Championship-level events will take place over two weekends, with the men’s and pairs the first weekend and the ladies and ice dancing the second weekend. The week kicks off Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, with Opening Ceremony and the Championship-level men’s and pair’s short programs and ends with the Championship-level ladies final on Saturday, Jan. 23.  On Sunday, Jan. 24 all of the medalists will perform in the Skating Spectacular (Exhibition of Champions). 2. What is included in the All Event Ticket Package?

The All Event Ticket Package is a book of tickets, one to every ticketed event except the Skating Spectacular (Exhibition of Champions). The All Event Ticket Package is comprised of 22 competition sessions.  The package also provides a practice pass that allows admission to practices at the Spokane Arena. The All Event Ticket Package DOES NOT include admission to the Skating Spectacular (Exhibition of Champions) which may be purchased in addition to the package. (back to top)

3. Does the All Event Ticket Package include tickets to the Skating Spectacular (Exhibition of Champions) on Sunday Jan. 24th?

No, the All Event Ticket Package does not include the Skating Spectacular (Exhibition of Champions) tickets.  Skating Spectacular tickets may be purchased in addition to the All Event Ticket Package now, or they will be available for individual purchase at a later date. (back to top)

4. Why has the schedule changed?

To allow all the athletes competing in each of the disciplines equal time before the Olympics.  Designed from your feedback…we have created the ticket packages you have been waiting for; the best events perfectly packaged, with three choices of Weekend Packages. (back to top)

9. When will individual tickets go on sale?

Individual tickets will most likely go on sale Fall of 2009 based on availability. Stay informed by visiting our website or sign up for our news updates. (back to top)

10. Will practices be open to the public?

Practices are only open to package holders with the practice pass that comes with their package.  The first official practices will take place on Thursday, Jan. 14th. Weekend package holders will also receive a practice pass with their weekend ticket package. The ticket package determines which practices you are eligible to attend. Purchasing the Men’s and Pairs Weekend Ticket Package provides a practice pass for days 1/14 – 1/17 and purchasing the Ladies and Ice Dancing Weekend Ticket Package provides a practice pass for days 1/21 – 1/23. The Both Weekends Package is a combination of both packages.

In 2007 the event required a secondary venue for practices and four ticketed events.  For 2010 the schedule has been lengthened by 2 days, as a result, every ticketed event will be held at the Spokane Arena.  There is the potential with this schedule to eliminate the need for a secondary venue. If there is a secondary venue, practice sessions will be closed – even to those with practice passes. (back to top)
